We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised support and assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Administer first aid as required and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Assist clients with dementia care, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and hospice care teams, to deliver comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid practices is essential.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
  • Experience in medication administration is advantageous.
  • A caring attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of dementia care principles is beneficial.
  • Relevant certifications or training in healthcare support are desirable but not mandatory.
